About Us.....

For 17 years, I worked for my parents establishing their two wonderful coffee shops,  Aroma, in Bridgend and Cowbridge. In 2016, my mother and I purchased the Chocolate House off my Sister and Brother-in-law, and in 2019 the Rhondda Heritage Park Mining Museum came up as a potential business relocation allowing us to run our popular chocolate workshops and the manufacturing all on one site!

The museum cafe was closing down and they needed a replacement urgently, I don’t like opportunities passing me by, so I grabbed it with both hands and have never looked back. I thought with my experience of running cafés, why the hell not. I had an opportunity to take the leap and build my own future, something that my kids would be proud of and something they could invest in for their futures.

Winning a Great Taste Award in 2018, for our Madeira Whisky and Orange Truffle, was a huge confidence boost, and this encouraged us to open a little chocolate shop in the heritage.

This has been a big hit with the visitors, after having a nice cuppa with a slice of homemade cake in the café they can then head over to the chocolate house shop and purchase some handmade welsh luxury chocolates to take home with them.

In 2020, my mother retired form the Chocolate House, and so I am going solo! I am really excited about the future of the Chocolate House, and am determined to realise the potential I believe this business has!
